I can buy a drum kit today..
I’ve played guitar for 7 years, and I am pretty good at it.

pirataviejo is tool,
Go for it!
I play Drums and Classical Guitar – Grade 8 on Both.
The only negative way one might affect the other is if you spend all your time on one and not the other.
But otherwise, saying drumming will affect your guitaring is like saying running will affect your swimming, or Drawing will affect your writing.
In a sense your Guitar may even benefit from playing the drums, in terms of rhythm and time Signatures etc.
Likewise, your guitaring will probably benefit learning the drums in terms of ‘being musical’
I’d Go for it,
My younger brother played guitar for a few years and then started taking drum lessons. From an oustider’s perspective (and he’d say the same thing), he really improved a lot on keeping time and his understanding of rhythm. It seems like he was about to translate a lot of that to how he played his guitar. Learning drums will definitely not make you a worse guitar player. It can only help you.
it will only effect you if you stop playing the guitar. as long as you still work on the guitar, your okay.
it can also effect you if someone else is banging on your drum set while your trying to practice. but that won’t be much of a problem.
otherwise, i would go for it.
good luck.
idk dude, maybe if u only use 1 and not another
