What Should I Look For When Buying A Second Hand Guitar And Multi-fx Pedal?

I’m hoping to get an electric guitar from a guy in my area. I’m also buying a Digitech multi-fx pedal.
The deal is going down very soon (within a few hours from now).
I need to know what I should look for when buying a second hand guitar and multi-fx pedal?

I’m not familiar with Digitec FX so I would just answer to your guitar question:
- Check the neck for warping
- Check the intonation. Each note on the fretboard should be ‘pronounced’ correctly
- Check strings for buzzing. If happens it could be due to low string action setting and other possibility is worn out frets. The last thing will cost you extra bucks. Note: check this with the guitar connected to the amp. Not all buzzes will be amplified.
- Check for switch / pick-ups selector. For example my Epiphone has 2 pick-ups. The switch should give me 3 option: First is using the neck pick-up, second is using the bridge pick-up and third is the combination of both pick-ups. If you switch to one position and nothing changes it could be one of the pick-up fails or the switch itself has a connection problem. Guitar with 3 pick-ups will have at least 5 different position.
- Check the tone and volume knobs
- Important thing: Check the playability. If it does not fell right in your hand may be it’s not suitable for you
- check the tuning pegs. If you see out of tune problem repeatedly you may suspect the tuning pegs.

nothing much. just if you like the feel and if it sounds good to you. If your getting the expensive ones like a Gibson Les Paul i suggest you learn all you can about that style like look at the truss rod see that it has 2 screws and the headstock and all that. But if your gonna get not so much of a expensive guitar theres not much. and the multi effects pedal, make sure it has all the effects you want such as delay and distortion etc…the digitechs are pretty good. my first multi fx pedal was the digitech rp50 and i still use it for like my reverb and delay. its pretty good. all the other series and good too. Make sure when you buy the guitar ,, it works lol anyway good luck. and PS you make it sound like your making a drug deal lol you said “the deal is going down very soon” …that sounds like your dealing drugs, not that im saying you are.
