What Is All The Criteria You Should Consider When Buying An Electric Guitar?

basically, what are the different things to consider when comparing buying two different electric guitars? I’ve been playing my acoustic Guild for about a year and now I want to switch to electric. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
First off, you want to choose the highest quality that you can afford. Make sure to research the different companies that have guitars and discover which one will suit you best. The body style of the guitar is also really important because they make different sounds (e.g. a semi hollow guitar has darker sounds than lets say a solid body electric guitar which has the most variety.) Pay attention to how many frets the guitar has. The most common guitars have 22 frets but if you are looking to playing a higher octave then you will probably want to look for one with 24 frets. Find a guitar that sounds the best with the amp you’ll be playing with. Look at the action (the space between the strings and the frets) and find one that you can reach and has enough space for you meaning, if you buy a guitar that has a great distance it may be harder to hold the strings. The neck of the guitar should be tight and straight to make sure the action remains consistent. The necks can be C-shaped, wide, thin, ect and you really need to find one that feels comfortable to you when you hold it so you can play to the best of your ability.

it depends on what type of music you play and what’s your budget
i play mainly heavy stuff and i started off with an Ibanez grg170x. it was only 250 i think. and it’s a very good guitar, has evrything i asked for.
just look around at reviews and such.
