Is There A Difference Between Buying A Guitar From Best Buy And Buying A Guitar From Guitar World?

I am trying to buy a Fender Stratocaster.
Is it better if I get this at Best Buy for $199.99?
Or get it from Guitar World, Sam Ash, Guitar Center, etc.?
If there is a difference, please explain it to me.

Usually Guitar Center, etc. will have special sales and incentives, they will also have nicer instruments than Best Buy. Try http://www.musiciansfriend.com. They have a lot of great deals too.
GOOD LUCK
Best Buy doesn’t sell Fender Strats. Or, at least, they didn’t use to. They sell Fender Starcasters. I don’t know what the difference is, but it is a different guitar. I would err on the side of safety and buy it from someone reputable like Guitar Center or Sam Ash or the like. They know what they’re talking about and can help you out.
Yeah, big difference. The one at Best Buy is a “Starcaster” which doesn’t even exist in the Fender line up as far as I know. It is obviously a very cheap guitar with the Fender name on it made in Asia just for Best Buy exclusively. If you notice you are also getting an amp for that $199 and package deals usually have really crappy amps. Do not buy that guitar. I do not know all of the differences nor will those be listed on the Best Buy site or anywhere else. Here is what you want.http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/S…
