lol if you really want to lear bump your budget up and get a real guitar for 100 bucks all you are gonna get is plywood
To be honest the money should be more spent on the amp rather than the guitar.
The tone (sound) mainly comes from your fingers and the amp, the guitar is just what you use to play.
But if I were to recommend a decent guitar I’d say the Epiphone Les Paul Special II. It’s quite cheap, it’s a tad out of your price range but it’s well worth it.
As the previous guy said, squier is decent too. A Squier Stratocaster shouldn’t cost too much, but I recommend buying a good amp too.
But I mean a Line 6 Spider amp should last you a while or a Vox Valvetronix, the Line 6 can pull of a more intense metal tone whereas the Vox in my opinion has an overall better sound quality. The Roland Cube 30X or 20X or 15X are also good buys, great tone~!
Hope that helped!
best guitar you can get if you’re new at it would be a Squire by Fender, they’re cheap enough tho think it goes a bit over $100 but not for much and make sure you buy a nice amp too if not then its a waste of guitar, i’d recommend a Marshall but that’s up to you.
