I really want to learn how to play the guitar. I play the piano, but I’ve always had a yearning for the guitar. Would it be okay to buy one from ebay? I don’t have a lot of money to spend (and my neighbor would be able to teach me the basics so lessons aren’t a problem.)

I’m 14 and I want to buy an acoustic. My dad wants me to order it online since theres a lot of great deals and its pretty cheap. But I really want to go to a music store or something so I can try them out – even though they might be more expensive. What should I do?
also are there any good fairly cheap brands I should look out for?

I need to buy a full set of acoustic strings for my Washburn. This is the first time I have ever needed to buy them (as I am pretty new to the guitar scene). Do I need to look for anything special or can I just walk in to a music store and grab a set of strings? Also roughly, about how much do they run in price? Thanks in advance!

So I got a guitar a couple years ago for my birthday and my sister broke it (she is 9) and I was wondering what would be a good name to get that isn’t a thousand dollars and maybe if I could get one that was already used so that it was cheaper that would help too. Oh, and I live in Los Angeles. Thank you!

I have an Epiphone SG G-400 and I have got it set up but haven’t replaced the strings yet. I’m looking at getting some Ernie Ball Regular Slinkies, are these good strings for playing Metallica-style rock? And will I need to get my guitar set up again, like will I need to change the intonation and will I get fret buzz from new strings?
Please include details and be specific.
